The 499P is the name of Ferrari's new Le Mans Hypercar that will compete in the FIA WEC World Endurance Championship starting from 2023, and it's a name that evokes the history of the Prancing Horse.

The 499P marks a return to a parallel path with Formula 1, which in the past led to winning the world's most famous 24-hour race nine times. The debut race for the new car is scheduled for March 2023.

The prototype adheres to the technical regulations of the Le Mans Hypercar class, which require the use of hybrid engines, all-wheel drive, and a minimum weight not less than 1,030 kilograms in the FIA World Endurance Championship. It has a maximum power output on the ground, limited by regulations, of 500 kW (680 horsepower), derived from the family of road-going V6 biturbo engines.

The design was developed with the involvement of Ferrari's Styling Centre directed by Flavio Manzoni, featuring a style crafted to enhance both technical performance and aerodynamics.
